This small meat retail outlet was started in the Autumn of 2001. All the meat sold in the shop is from animals that have been bred and reared on the farm, or neighbouring farms. The animals are fed with home milled feeds, using hay and silage to supplement the grass through the winter.

The pigs were our first venture. We use the ‘beautifully, ugly’ Middle White pigs. These are an original pork pig.

In the 1930s they were regarded as ‘the specialist pork pig of England.’ They are a fattier pig but you do get wonderful crackling and flavour and they make delicious sausages!

All our sausages are made with natural casings.

The Sheep are Suffolk cross lambs that graze the fields around Pytchley. This is our first combined venture with a neighbouring farmer and we are thrilled that the shop provides a united focus for the welfare and rearing of livestock in the area.

When the beef herd was started in the Spring of 2000, the Lincoln Red breed was selected. It is thought that they were first brought to England by the Vikings! They are a traditional beef breed, slow maturing, producing marbled, flavourful, succulent beef!
